Default KSLI cap badge: meaning of cloth backing

here comes a GS cap, "Cap, Ridiculous") with a bimetal KSLI badge. Has the rifle green cloth backing got a battalion significance? Did different battalions sport different shapes of cap badges backings? Or is it just a backing referring to the Light Infantry tradition? Thank you so much for your help!

the 1st Battalion of the KSLI wore an outline rifle green backing, at the same time the 4th Battalion wore a 2 inch (50mm) square patch behind their cap badge. Suggest what you have is a 4th Battalion hat.

Hope that helps
