Some of the players look as if John Redwood taught them the Anthem!

A man down at half time - they'll have to dig deep!

In more than 35 years of playing, watching and coaching the game, that was most definitely

The worst refereeing decision ever made

............was it a good idea to let him be in charge......he has a French father!!!!!!!!!

Commiserations to all Welsh colleagues and everybody who supported the team of the tournament.

Regards
Brian

So sad for the Welsh, they truly deserved to win. Even with one man down they showed the French who were the better side.
I thought the sending off was harsh.

They have one thing in common with the Boks though, they both played with one man less than the opposition.

Next time boyos....

Iain

They always say the best side wins, but I am certainly not sure in this case.

The Kiwis must be pleased. The French were not up to speed by any standards.

Hope the ref is not planning Wales for his holidays

Well played. A valiant effort, regardless.

Neil

Whilst I am heartbroken due to incompetant refereeing, I am so proud of our team. They have exceeded all my expectations and are a credit to Wales.

My sympathy - a crass Referee-ing decision - a gallant, far fitter and stronger team, pitted against an unworthy opposing team that had lost two games when 'qualifying' - and I'm an Englishman!

United we stand in the United Kingdom against our traditional and historical enemy - the FRENCH!

Andy,

Forgot to mention I was at Margam Park a few years ago (12 or so now) with Mrs. Thomas when Catatonia sang that live.

To hear the audience singing it with Cerys yn Gymraeg was a life experience that I will never forget.

Even with a man down the Welsh should have won. France where poor. However the rugby history books will not reflect that. Wales blew their best ever chance at a World Cup Final and you have to feel for them.

Let's hope the Aussies* beat them 60 nil.

*Yes I'm predicting (hoping) they beat the All Blacks.

I like the thought of the Irish having beaten the World Champions!

Not the most beautiful match of "bleus", we won unimpressive, just with the luck.
Sorry

Now that the Welsh captain has been given a 3 match ban, does this mean that the referee has been vindicated? A sad day for Welsh rugby but I feel that it was a self inflicted wound. I wonder what would happen if a British policeman treated a member of the public in this fashion, would it be assault? I am sure that if an Afghan insurgent prisoner was treated this way all hell would break loose in the British press. Pity that the better team lost by 1 point but that's the way things sometimes go in Sport.

There is a lesson here somewhere!
