the flier for volume 11 arrived on Saturday, my birthday, my son gave me a waterstone £50 voucher to buy it. I phoned them up today and like you got nowhere altho it is listed on their web site. Not the way to get repeat buisness. John.

It's a lovely book crammed full of great pictures of all sorts of obscure badges from all over the world.

BUT - the Arab section is also crammed full of errors - which always leads me on to wonder if the rest of the book is also ... if it is then a great opportunity has been missed.

His previous efforts were also sprinkled with a good few errors also.

I have had a copy of this for more than a year now, bought from Amazon, a few errors in it though.

I would guess that any publications covering such wide topics would contain a few errors. The two volumes are, in my view, incredible pieces of work, well presented and a great addition to the hobby.

If possible, maybe the errors could be discussed in this thread to enable accurate identification of the insignia?

Shaun

There are 5 paragraphs on one page and two pages photos containing 23 badges in the first volume.

I was hoping to buy a copy to see what it said about the Rangoon Port Defence Volunteers but frankly, seeing the price on Amazon, it would be cheaper to fly to Rangoon and ask the locals.

The first issue on sale on Amazon UK for over a thousand pound. Also for sale in Australia for $330. I won't be owning it.
