Peter,
You could be right, but my friend has been after one of these for quite a while and was quite excited to see this one up for grabs! I am not 100% as stated otherwise I would not have posted, and I see that Alan is of a similar view! With just a low number manufactured and the remainder held in store bought up by The Regiment, this must surely be a valuable badge and probably IRO 3 figures for a good one? Andy |

Hi looked at my example ex Bob Quested collection sold closed auction crown imperial I agree with Andy the poppies between the 1 st and 2nd battle scrolls not so clear all other aspects look the same nice lines down front and back legs The definition on the back of mine is a lot more defined Will have a word with Eddie over the weekend If this is a fake i would expect to see more on the market

The seller does buy old collections and auctions and split them up so it may well be an old fake. Hence no flood of copies onto the market.

My point was in 38+ yrs of collecting I have not seen many examples of this badge fake or genuine In the old days I used the every list going for repro/fake items on the market -MR V, R.B M. M militaria etc and attended most fair from N to S and can,t remember seeing many these for sale

Alan,
I've three, one mint, one used and one chromed (probably for later use). I've only ever sold one, so the list is shrinking! I suspect a lot were discarded after the Comd Offr bought them? Andy |
