Default Deer cloth badge

Can anyone identify this cloth badge? I found it amongst my late father's effects in an envelope with a Chindits and a First Special Forces badge. Not sure if that is relevant.
Thanks
Jon

Certainly has a Herts look to it, not something I can find reference to with the information I have, maybe Cadet related ??

Thanks for the replies. I was worried it was something like a Scouts badge that had ended up in the wrong envelope!
