Here are 2 badgescwhich would like the opinion off please, Rifle Brigade gas a flaw to right upper in Laurel above Battle Honour

The Shropshire Yeomanry I think is fine - but??

Lastly your thoughts on the Leather Shield, it was comming apart so helped it to see rear, I could retrieve this badge but am in mind to get the local Cobbler re-attach backing? Not into breaking up stuff! and loads of these about!

Shropshire Yeo is fake but the Rifle Brigade is fine.

If you examine badges to near microscope level of scrutiny you’ll find many have small flaws or imperfections, it does not mean they are restrikes!

Hi Luke that was quick, liked the Slider on the Rifle Brigade - not the flaw!

As to the Shropshire Yeomanry what is it that stands out? Many thanks Billy

Billy,
The Royal Arms badge with three lugs probably started out as a Life Guards belt plate badge.

This is mine:

In a word everything. It’s from the Martin Marsh die so you see hundreds when looking online. The wonky crown is pretty distinctive plus usual ToysRus rounded letter ends etc.

If you line it up against any of the (many) real ones you’ll see how very different it is.

The genuine ones are either voided or have a shield behind them. The solid without a shield is fake as is the comic cat faced ones that you also see.
