Default Sergeants 5th Bn Seaforth

This looks like a 5th Bn Seaforth Highlander sergeants badge to me
but was sold as collection of military memorabilia of 2nd Lieutenant
N Leys Royal Artillery 1944/45 also came with a kings badge and a
RMS Corsican vesta case (1907-23) she was used as a trans-Atlantic
troop carrier

Thanks leigh
the badge is stamped NL and the tags C of S
which makes some sense but I don't see a connection with a WWI troopship
if he was RA 44/45
