Default Voided die struck para badge with marks on a wing?

Good morning gents,

Are there members of the forum who have seen a die struck voided para badge with marks on a wing before?
I haven't but maybe the more knowledgeable have?

Welcome to int.militaria

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=83251

Unfortunately I could not post photos as the seller has previously threatened the forum with legal action when I did.

I wouldn't go anywhere near that, or the seller.

Well, actually I spotted this badge on the site of a dutch dealer.
Looks like a good badge to me but the marks are odd.

The link doesn’t work for me but if you don’t believe what I’ve said feel free buy it.

These cast copies from an original other ranks badge, but made in silver, have been doing the rounds for over a year now and have even filtered into some of the more ‘prestigious’ (I use that word lightly) militiaria auction houses including Lockdales and C&T.

The ‘hallmarks’ will read ‘ IM 925 {–|o ‘ …. it lacks a date letter indicating it is modern and also the Birmingham sideways anchor with bottom facing left was only introduced post 2000.

Genuine silver para badges and their hallmarks are very different.

Hi Luke,

I've fixed the link.
As far as my old eyes can see it's a die struck nickel plated badge.

Die struck nickel plate with a hallmark? I refer you to my earlier post.

Cut out the middle man and buy one here, ONO £50 (approx. €60) much cheaper than €175 being asked on that site.

You should have access to my albums? There is one very useful one in there.
