Default QE2 R.A.S.C. Naval button?

Hello Everyone,
Another mystery button that I can't identify.
It's a 24mm dia' Gaunt, gilt brass Naval button with a St. Edward's Crown. It has crossed swords and the initials R.A.S.C
The only possible information I have found relates to Royal Army Service Corps, Water Transport but no reference to buttons?
Again, any information would be gratefully appreciated.
Aidan

Yes it's War Department Fleet, is it not in "Ripley"? I'm sure it is.

What you have is an officers button of the RASC Fleet, a Queen's Crown button worn from 1953 to 1965 when the RASC Fleet became the RCT Fleet. The crews were all civilians and until 1945 had been known as the War Department Fleet. In 1945 they became the RASC Fleet and from then until 1953 they wore the King's Crown version of the button you have.
