Default Australian SAS beret badge backing

Hi can anyone provide the dimensions for the patch worn behind the metal badge on Aussie SAS berets or even better still have a spare one going spare.

The black shield-shaped patch pre-stitched to the Vietnam War period sand-coloured Kent beret is (in the old money) one and a half inches wide by two inches high at its deepest point. Whether those dimensions have changed since then I'm afraid I can't say.

Some sort of melton or woollen material, I'd say.

Please don't apologise -- I didn't want you waiting around for me to get my act together. I'll try to post a photo or two in the next few days.

Actually if you Google 'SAS beret Australia' you'll find dozens of images -- in more configurations and of better quality than I could provide.
