Any thoughts on the flash in this pic above the gun badge, it looks blank?

I've tried manipulating the image, but all I can see is a blank rectangle. So I would guess it's a Canadian battle patch worn by a member of a RA Regt under command of or attached to one of the Canadian Divisions - the best bet given that the ribbon for the France and Germany Star is being worn is that it's a regiment with 4 (British) AGRA which was in Jun 45 attached to 2 Canadian Inf Div.
