Default AUXILIARY UNITS VEHICLE INSIGNIA

The secret British Resistance Organisation used the tactical sign 490 white numerals on a red background and two versions of the Home Forces Div sign.

However, there were Royal Signals attached with transport - what colours would the 490 have been?

White over blue with a numeral in red was standard for Royal Corps of Signals vehicle serials after an early period when white numerals on black were used as on HQ vehicles, but I don't know exactly when this change happened?

But with the Auxiliaries who knows what bluffs and double bluffs may have been employed, so it would be nice to see some proof.
