Default Parachute Regt QC: Officers quality badge?

I have just acquired this Queen's crown cap badge...

I do not actually collect QC badges for the Parachute Regt. It looks to me like an officer's quality badge, but would be interested in any insights from forum members.

It is of nice solid construction. There is no maker's mark. I find the hole in at the end of the tail interesting (have only seen this on badges referred to as officer's quality). Dimensions 71mm x 46mm.

I am still deciding whether to hold onto this particular badge, or to make it available for sale.

Any insights appreciated!

It is the current issue ALL RANKS cap badge - sadly the value is only in the region of £5 to £10

Indeed, they look a better quality than I would expect for OR's badges but that is what they are.

Thank you for the information!

It is a pity that it is not something more exciting!

Nevertheless, if I do sell on for £5-£10, then I will not have lost money.

The only insight I can offer would be that you seek to replace it with a better example, it does look a little rough on it's obverse.
