Trooping the Colour 2019
Here's a link to the BBC's coverage of the 2019 Trooping the Colour.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DGNtgDV2R8 Great footage of foot guards and mounted guards on parade. Enjoy! Mick

The title is Trooping the Colour, not Trooping of the Colour.

Interestingly referred to by the Household Division as the Queen's Birthday Parade.

Described on the Household Division website
https://www.householddivision.org.uk...ing-the-colour The Sovereign's birthday is officially celebrated by the ceremony of Trooping the Colour (Queen's Birthday Parade). |

Interesting and of course you are correct as to current usage.
I am, as is obvious, an old fogey and my "Sovereign's Birthday Parade" is the historical title, as I see in my collection of Brigade of Guards Standing Orders, and my old Programmes of the event. I say interesting because as the title has transformed from Parade to mere Trooping, so the ceremony has enlarged and enlarged to be much more than Trooping, witness the introduction in living memory of the King's Troop and the RAF. A rose by any other name .......... |

The "of" - so common a little mistake that it's even appeared on the royal family official web sites in the past.
