Default Manchester badges? Need help please

Hi
Do either of these badges stand a chance of authenticity? I am not too optimistic. I would appreciate you opinion.
Thanks
Mike

I'm not an expert but personally I like them both.
Cheers,

I'd be interested to know what makes you not optimistic, in the case of these badges?

Simon, thank you very much for your expertise.
Frank, it is what I perceived to be lack of detail on the reverse. I have much to learn.

On 17th April 1916 the War Office ordered 20,000 cap badges for the Manchester Regiment (Pattern 4586/1898) - amongst other badges !

Badge production during the 1st World War was at a frenzied height, any 'lack of detail' would be swiftly overlooked.

FYI, I looked at the lack of detail but it was the style of slider which made me think they were original, that is always a good indicator.
Cheers,
Alex

Just from the photographs, I would have thought that there is a good degree of detail on the reverse, they certainly do not look like modern copies.
