Looks like a standard O/R's collar badge to me. If you look at my album you should find some in it.
An officers cap badge would have the scroll under the castle.

Can I ask about these two if i may! as far as I am concerned both collars but why is one all White-metal?

hi billy, the white metal collar is a pipers collar they also wore that same pattern in anodised aluminium ( all silver in colour) regards john
