During TV news coverage of Anzac Day in Adelaide, a very brief close-up of what looked like a cadet showed a badge on the front of the slouch hat which I'm sure had '27' on it, but of a type I'd never seen before. I've tried finding an image online, but with no luck. Does anyone have any knowledge of such an item?

Thanks but no. I know that one very well. This was a completely new one to me in gilding metal.

There is a FB page for South Australian Army Cadets.
Send them a message - they may know the answer. https://www.facebook.com/AusArmyCade...2654264455912/ Mick

Thanks, Mick. I don't usually have anything to do with Facebook, but I'll use the contact details to enquire.
