Default SAS wings, what period?

My apologies for the poor picture quality, I had to take them using artificial light which doesn't do the colours justice.

I believe these to be genuine SAS wings, but I'm unsure about the period of use. I've already asked 2 experienced collectors of SAS militaria; according to one they are WWII issue but to the other they are '50-'60 issue.

Any more suggestions? I would like to get the description correct before I list them on ebay.

I've tested a loose thread found on the front and the backing material and both were cotton.

TBH I'd say they are mid-late 40s to 50s, if they were early 40s I'd expect more of a handmade quality.

Just MHO though

I think it is early 60-ties.

Cheers
