Good Afternoon all,
I am putting forward a few more pictures of badges in my collection that are difficult to identify. Again if anyone recognizes anything please let me know. The small button on number 6 has the RASC crest but I have read that a white gorget indicates RAF Officer Cadet I wondered if number 18 might be an old variation of The Worcestershire Regiment. The others are quite unusual in many cases and I would love to find out what they are. Many thanks Bill |

4 is an Indian Army Parachute Jumping Instructor.
8 looks like a variation on British Troops in Libya - so might 7 & 8 have a Libyan connection. A white gorget with a button is an Army Officer Cadet, such as at Sandhurst. That badge looks like the battledress era version. Why an RASC button, can't say. Affectation that escaped the Colour Sergeant? |

Thanks Staffsyeoman and Antjar.
Very useful info. As you say regarding the RASC crest perhaps the Colour Sergeant should have gone to specsavers. I did wonder if the green and white printed signs might have a North African connection. Thanks Bill |

Hi Pembird
Thanks for the reply. I agree about number 3 being Czech and I had hoped it might be WW2. so its good to get another opinion. Regards Bill |

#4 has been incorrectly id'd as Indian. It is fact the PJI from Ghana (B&T 266).

Many thanks to Ian B, Craig and Ian H. Very informative.
Numbers 2,5,9,10,12,13,15 and 17 remain to be identified. Of those there is a note suggesting number 5 is some kind of assault troops /grenadiers badge. The red zigzag being made of leather. Regards Bill |

Think I might have solved number 11 on the photo. Dark yellow and black felt diamond - the Nyasaland Volunteer Rifles. Still really struggling with the likes of 5,10 and 13 though.

Hi Bill,
No. 11. Unit flash for the Nyasaland Defence Force. The Nyasaland Volunteer Rifles wore an entirely different badge N.V.R. in dark blue on a yellow background. Zob. |
