GS Cap Badge - Good or Bad?
I just picked up this GS Cap Badge for my Molly Dawes display. Upon receipt I see it has lugs, while the other one I have has a slider. Brings up several questions.
Is this a valid badge, having the lugs? Is it possibly the new metal? Would it be correct for 2013-14 time frame? Here is a picture of the badge as well of a picture of Dawes wearing hers in the series. The one she's wearing seems more brass looking? Thank your for any help on this! Terry |

It looks to be of anodised aluminium, lugs as per for WO1's wrist band?

Thanks Leigh, then not a cap badge at all! I'll keep looking.
Reading your reply to say the badge she is wearing is AA, or is it brass? Takes place in 2013-14. Terry Last edited by Home Guard; 20-06-21 at 05:05 PM. |

I think the badge worn in the photo is new metal.

Terry,
You need one like this. General Service - Insignia, Organisation. Cap. General Service. Gilding metal, burnished surface condition, dead gilt treatment. Royal Arms. NSN 8455-99-703-0655 Worn by some recruits during initial training pending allocation to their Corps or Regiment. Tim
