Default Wheel badge/emblem

Hello. I found this little badge/emblem by metaldetecting in territory of former East Prussia and had been trying to define what it is untill i discovered it's somewhat similar to British wheeler trade badge but not quite exactly. So i want to ask if this emblem has some relation to British badges? Made of copper alloy, near 2 cm in diameter. Thank you very much for future answers.

Hello GrafKenar, welcome to the Forum. Your account is active and open for posts.
The German army also wore a similar badge.

Hello,

Allthough its a wheel like the British wheeler badge, the metal, the loops and the construction of yours indicate that it is NOT a British badge.

regards

I've got one of these, I didn't realise it was a cap badge.

What era, pre WW2, post WW2 or both?

Rob

The Regiment of Border Cyclists was founded in the second half of the 1930’s as light, mobile units for the forward positions near the border.

Rob, Probably both, this is an extract from a site called : The Beret Project Border Cyclists.

Regards Phil.

Thank you Drummajor and 54Bty! Looked it up and yeah this badge seems to be either collar badge of belgian cyclists carabiners or cockarde. Found some photos of uniform dunno if repro or originals.
