Default Hampshire FSC Badge

Good afternoon. I would appreciate views on this little fellow please. I don't believe that these are widely faked yet but I am suspicious of the lugs, one of which seems to be well off. This may be a repair, as there is discolouration.
Many thanks
Nick

I'm not sure re. this, is it a tiger cut from a helmet plate centre with lugs added?

I agree. The shape of the ground is the biggest give away.

Along with what look like points on the tail and paw where it's been snipped from the HPC.
Somebody took the trouble to do a neat job on fitting the lugs but didnt bother to tidy up the tail and paw.

Brilliant. Thank you. I noticed the ground and the tail irregularity but never thought of it being cut from another badge. I will give it a swerve but still looking for a genuine brass example.
