Default Forum access from China

Hi guys,

Anyone know if the forum is blocking access from China? Or maybe it's offended the powers that be there and is blocked by the Great Firewall of China?

I'm getting access forbidden when I connect normally (am in Shanghai now for a week) but can get through using a VPN.

Have to use a VPN also to connect to sites such as Facebook as well.

Mick

Mick,

Access from China is indeed limited due to the volume of Chinese based spammers. If the filter was removed then the mods would have to spend a considerable amount of time deleting spammers and blocking accounts.

Thanks Alan. Good to know.

At least I can connect via a VPN.

G'day Mick,

Enjoy Shanghai!

When I was there quite a number of years ago, I spent a pleasant afternoon walking up and down some antique alleys. Unfortunately the odd scraps of militaria there were mostly relic but it seemed that almost every second stall had a "genuine homemade" Japanese Samurai sword. The ugliest things you have ever seen.
