Default Dewsbury constabulary or not?

Good Afternoon,
I bought this card because I liked the group. It was described as 'Dewsbury' police, but I don't know if it is or isn't. Whatever constabulary it is, it's still as I say, a nice group.

Billy,

Yes, it certainly looks like Dewsbury. The helmet plates and belt buckles are the same pattern/shape as worn by Dewsbury.

Thanks Dave,
What about the scroll under the senior officers cap Badges? Would that have Dewsbury on it or a motto?

Billy,

I've not seen that badge before. So, I'm unsure as to what is written on it. It could be "Dewsbury Borough Police" (most likely), or possibly the rank of the individual wearing it or even (as you suggest), the Borough motto.

Dave.
