Found one..... at last!!
This turned up on eBay, from a seller in Alfreton in Derbyshire...... I think its genuine
 If it is..... then its only the second one I have ever seen and the first one I will actually handle It looks all good to me from the scanned image....... I will have to handle it and clean it to confirm.(KK1423 - with slider) Leics Yeo badge Patt 8895/1916-22 - Obsolete on 24/4/1922 (Other Ranks)

Leicestershire Yeo.
I bought one of these with a slider the other week in unissued condition, are they unusual?
I think mine had a longer slider from memory. Rob

Post some pics please...... it sounds like you have the same varient as Andy  The one I have is the Gaunt varient.

CORRECTION
....... this is why it always pays to clean your badge on receipt...... it reveals all the sins of the past  The loops have been ground off (neatly) and a modern replacement slider has been expertly placed just under the old top loop position with white braise. The badge is a genuine badge..... but the slider has been put on it..... its a "pro" job..... has to be a modern one because its all too neat. Photos shortly....

Its a genuine N/S looped "Cap badge".... thats had a fake slider put onto it Luckily..... I didnt pay much for it..... pheeeeewww! Positivley a case of wanting it to be true..... and finding out it was too good to be true!
