Hi everyone,
Could you please help me to identify the tartan on this Canadian made tam o' shanter? I've looked everywhere with no luck. Thanks, Jeff. |

Hi Jeff
I'll have a quick look in my grandfather's tartan book that he bought in Edinburgh in 1920. He was descended from MacLean of Duart and he wrote a note to this effect in the front! Just a thought but if you have a Scottish regalia shop near you, they are very good at this type of request! |

I am away from my notes but it looks like that worn by 252 Fd Amb

Tartan
Holes are too wide for a RAMC, RCT, RASC or QA badge.

MacDonald Tartan
Good call on that tartan especially as the Balmoral label is post-SWW.
