Default 6th Airborne Division Cordon & Search and Pegasus Plaque

Hi team

I won an auction of 6th Airborne Division first edition.1949, Cordon and Search and a Pegasus plaque, an era that I have never delved into until ironically what is now in todays news.

Looking for more or any info on the plaque , it is stainless steel on oak wood base. The book has a name and date but has been inked out although I can make a date of 27 Aug(April?) 1950.

Also wondering if this was made during the time period but I have no knowledge on plaques so if any one can add to this would be appreciated.

The book is very detailed and has a number of appendices including:Order of battle , listed operations carried out with actions from 1945-48, extensive list of events thru this period and units that were assigned to 6th Abn Div during this period.

cheers

Phill

Thanks Gren

Looking at the statue it is silver plated brass as you can see the silver plate has worn off around the edges exposing the brass, so might be from the period , either way its still a nice piece.

cheers

Phill
