? WW1 11th Bn BORDER REGT Cap Badge
I have been bequeathed this badge, which I'm told is quite scarce but I'm told it has been devalued due to it being "brooched". It's a hall marked winged Griffon of the 11th Bn Border Regiment. The detail is crisp and it has a pleasing patina. Any ideas as to its value?

Difficult to say accurately.
Original items with replacement pin fixings sell consistently at circa £300-350. However I’ve seen them sell on eBay for a bit less but also in provincial auction houses for a little more on occasion. Bosley’s sometimes achieve significantly higher, but not always consistently. |

Good evening Colonel,
Looks a lovely badge. Can you decipher the hallmark? Let me know if you ever decide to sell. Take care in correctly determining the value. It is a scarce badge. |
