Have a look at the Navy and air threads in the British section above. Cheers Dave

Lion Wing
This purports to be an Army Fling badge qualification wing for Air Observation Post pilots and glider pilots.
Having checked the number on the tag of the wing it is incorrect for either a pattern number or CCN number. I doubt that these tags were actually made, so my opinion is that this may be a dud. Stephen. |

This type of tag was once used by the 'Regalia Specialist' on most of the badges being sold.

Looks like an attempt to create a WW2 Army Pilot's wing from the size and pattern of a modern era wing as well (although the backing is black, not khaki), so I would put it in the duff box as well.

Status of army wing
ostensibly a wing of the Glider Pilot Regiment, but not genuine.....the thread is far too thin for the era. These were around a lot in the mid 1980's with the "tag" on them. I am trying to remember if the white thread fluoresced or not, but that was a long time ago and these were dismissed years ago as useless..... they still show up on Ebay from time to time and its now 2016!
