Julian,
I have the effects of a former member of the Cardiff Pals who lived in Whitchurch in the early 40s but who served in the 16th Glamorgan Home Guard. Do you know where the 16th were based?
Diolch,
Kevin

Thank you Peter, great general information but sadly no precise location for the 16th. On a separate note I know my Grandfather was in the HG unit that manned the AA guns at Llanedeyrn Farm just down the road from me as part of 9th AA Div. They were badged to the RA and his discharge papers all reference him as a gunner and were issued by Anti-Aircraft Command. I also have his Essential Work Order lapel badge for Shipbuilding and Repairing which I'll post later. No idea what his unit was. Yet another area of research that I'll have to start looking into.
Hwyl,
Kevin
