R.N. Air Mechanic-Engines
Having a number of the embroidered type this is the only printed rate in my collection. This one is marked as Air Mechanic-Engines, do I have that correct? How common are printed RN rates?

Well that might explain why it is the only printed rate in the group, it is not Royal Navy. Now that you mention it I do recall seeing blue on white rates "printed" that were shown as RAN. The red on blue made me think RN.

I have never seen the printed badges in this form before but have seen them printed blue on white.
These might not be of interest but in case it might be, here are some photos of RN/RCN FAA Air Mechanic badges I have had for many yrs: They are all of the embroidered variety worn in the 2WW timeframe: RCN Bryan Last edited by RCN; 18-02-15 at 02:19 PM. Reason: . |
