He lives here in Kingston. Appears as a "re-enactor" at various events.

Does anyone have an example of his badges?
It would be good to see the back as Ron says. He hasn't posted for over a year...

Reproductions
His whole 'collection' appears to consist of reproductions and it looks like he has spent a small fortune on the WPG products.

Its quite thin gauge metal. Seems almost plated. Much brighter, much more shine in person. The edges are quite sharp. Marked Caron Bros Montreal 1915

THE PPCLI badge appears to be a very good copy, I emailed him and advised him of my opinion of repro badges, I believe all repro badges should be marked "copy"

PPCLI
I emailed him and received these pictures of the badge, he stated that no collector would be fooled by the badge as the reverse of the badge is not even close to the original.
I still think any reproduction should be marked as COPY, I can see these being sold as real to uneducated collectors or others who do not know. I have had many buyers at shows buy a badge because a family member had served in the regiment, they do not know one badge from the next. |

Interesting reply. It appears that these are being cast, and it would be easy to mark the badges as copy.
