Default Fusilier Grenade for ID

A brass fusiliers or grenadiers grenade badge, approx 67mm x 88mm. Note I will be moving the badge on.

Could be French, definitely nothing like it in Kipling and King. Also the fitting suggest a valise badge, so even harder to ID.

The fitting on the back could be for a plume?

I now have the badge. If it helps it's stamped S 4558831 on the back of the top bracket.

That suggests something fairly modern, IMO. I like the idea of a plume holder. Italian Carbinieri or someone like that, perhaps?
