Scottish Military Uniform? WW1 or before?
Can anyone help me determine what the uniform is on the attached photo? I've been told it is a great great uncle of mine, but if this is a WWI uniform he would have been 46, and this gentleman doesn't look that old.
Any clues would be helpful in my research. Thanks |

Hello egmsam, I'm no specialist but by the look of it this soldier is wearing the regulation
service dress jacket used during WW1. Also, by looking at the top of the sporran you can definitively see the badge of the Seaforth Highlanders. Now then, this your starting point. Regards and good luck Jo Last edited by Voltigeur; 07-06-08 at 01:33 AM. Reason: delete a photograph |

That is the Seaforth Highlanders. Just because he doesnt look that "old" doesnt mean that he isnt. (a spring chicken at that age).
