Default Button-Possably artillery?

Hello.

I dug this up metal detecting on a farm in South Africa where I've found a generic Victorian Rifle Regiment button and some Martini-Henry bullets. The button is in bad shape but has 2 crossed cannons on the front and is heavily domed in shape.

I would like to know approximate time frame for this button as well please?

Thanks in advance.
