Default Inverted Rose

I'm trying to identify this button. Note the rose is inverted from normal with the flat edge of the petal at the bottom. Any ideas guys

Thanks

Alan

Yorkshire Dragoons?
Intelligence Corps is also a crown over a rose but with a petal centred below the crown.

This button has been discussed. I think it was agreed as an Intelligence Corps manufacturer's variation.

Not in my opinion Intelligence Corps as it appears ‘heraldically’ incorrect. I served in the Corps for 31 years and have been collecting for 55+ years. Never say never but I would like to see photographic or documentary evidence of a connection.

Dear Tim,
Thank you for finding the tread.
The manufacturer Charles Pitt closed down in the mid 1970s, long before you joined the Intelligence Corps. They also produced the proper Intelligence Corps.
There are a lot of cross breed buttons around. They could be an early manufacturing mistake, someone using the wrong die etc. It is also possible they were held as useless stock and went to dealers after Pitt closed down.
We need a jacket with these buttons ...
regards,
