Default 'CANADA' Badge Unknown to a Brit

Got this badge with some British badges, but as Canadian is not my thing some questions please. What is it? What dates? Does it look real or is it fake? Approx value? I must say it doesn't look right to me as the back is to shiney in comparison to the slider. Many thanks in advance.

Second World War General Service badge. Normally seen lugged.

Slidered Second World War badges are usually British made. There were contracts let in the UK for Canadian badges, especially for shortages in 1 Cdn Div (later 1 CID).
