Continuing on with my theme of showing War Raised Cavalry Head Dress please find below pictures of my 27L officers Coloured Field Service Hat which belonged to an officer who was killed in action in Italy in 1944.

splendid looking side hat indeed I have a few in my collection but only Line cav so far.

Hi Mac,

Thanks for the comments, knowing your Lancer interest when I'm next back in October you can have a closer look at them if you wish, (I will be at both Outwood and Pudsey and of course home on the other side of the river from you for the remainder).

I have purposely avoided showing the interior of the hats so as to not show how the bullion badges are stitched in as I don't want to give the forgers the specific details from real hats.
