London in the war
Found this very nice video of a long gone London. Some of course is still the same, but most looks unrecognizable, particularly the Thames.
Towards the end, there is a shot of an open area with rising balloon and the tower of London behind. Where is that and does it still exist? I am thinking it likely some glass and concrete monstrosity is there now. Looks like the balloon was possibly launched/tethered to the grounds of the Tower of London.
The immediate area (grounds) surrounding the Tower are basically the same but there is a lot of glass and concrete near by.
