Ok Andy, on that I'll keep it (Norfolk). I see the one in the right corner is the one that looks like pattern I have in hand here.

Alan, that's more like it. It has the look of an econ and the other's I have for other regiments. I'll keep looking. Maybe one will pop up again.

I'm still not able to dig out my 4/5 & 6 th EI but here are the 4 patterns of the Regular Leics EI's I've identified so far (the same as Alan's bottom left as viewed), note one does have a voided tail loop! I've also added two examples of Bim 4/5 & 6th badges, note the prominent tuft just forward of the leading hind leg! KK (KK 1714 pg 413, Vol 1) shows a voided tail version too, but with no tuft and very similar to the voided tail Regular Bn Badge shown below!! May I also add that the differences in the badges show are highly likely to manufacturers variations and unlikely Battalions had their own pattern grassy beds?

Cheers Andy. I think my econ regulars is the lower right one. I think I have a different pattern or makers variation when it comes to the 4th/5th BM.

As regards the Norfolk again, to your point, if not a lot of money then a keeper. I got it for $12.50.....so keeping it for now.

a bargain!!! Back to the Leics EI's it would not take much to change the Reg Badge to the TF example, just the careful removal of the "Hindoostan" Mudguard, and some basic finishing off!

Hi Andy, I took it out and checked the top edge f the Tiger, and to me it looks flawless under my magnifier lamp. The edge thickness is constant and regular. And the surface of the top edge is regular also.. I think a good one.
