Default Replica NAAFI Cap Badge

Hi All,

I've just spotted these replica NAAFI badges on eBay, it's one to be aware of as they look very similar to the originals:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183774733...a2e304ffdf3a07

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183641981...20a9b9ffdeadf3

The description says:

This replica Cap badge is made to a high quality and its exactly the same size as the original, they are 9 grams the same as the original. Being the second type produced.

The box is 100% recycled and has an insert. This is a LIMITED EDITION and 100% GP is going to the NEA Funds.

Great for Reenactments, Goodwood revival and keep sake's
Michael

These have been around for some time and are sold as copies and each, I believe are serial numbered.

Thanks Jerry,

It's the first time I'd seen them. I take it they aren't getting mixed with originals then.

I cannot say for certain but I do not have one myself.

Default NAAFI Copy

They are stamped on the back! They have a pinback fitting anyone that thinks this might be original should give up collecting today!

There's also a version with lugs and cotter pin to be aware of.

I saw a number on the back but couldn't see if they were properly stamped like the originals or printed.

I was thinking the lugged could be mistaken for a collar badge once some of these dodgy types try ageing them.
