R Montreal Regt
Apparently this badge has remained constant throughout CEF and post WW1. Is there any way of recognising the different time-frames, apart from metals used?
The scanned badge is yellow metal, although photo is not true to actual colour GTB |

With the narrow leaves and dots in the motto, that would be the WW2 version. |

Other things to look for include darkened finishes which are typical of First WW examples.
