It isn't only on phones, sorry to say.

We are probably getting close to updating the forum software then. I guarantee you will not like it. (maybe)

It is also in my camera. It thinks 'this way is up' and the picture ends up sideways on my laptop. I sort it out by copying the upright image to memory and pasting it in a newly made image.

That's why most businesses use them. They will still be relevant in the next decade, possibly longer.

Q - Whats a PC? ...
A - Essential if you handle huge volumes of research and images etc etc

Don't tell me ... someone will say 'but there is the cloud etc' ... or some such new fangled idea I probably have not yet heard about ;-)

Incidentally, I did once try to download a sideways image from the forum, to repost it in a better orientation ... it didn't let me do it despite being saved on the PC in rotated format.

not on here but "smart" phone pics often post sideways....very annoying especially when others seem it appropriate to get arsey about it.

This is a PC.

This is a smartphone that some people think is as good as a PC.

Yes ... I have to confess my PC does not fit in my pocket!
It does make you wonder what will develop over coming years
