Lancashire foreign service helmet badge ?
Hello folks
Amongst a small job lot i recently acquired was the badge in the pics I've searched and searched as to what it was originally and having read the long informative thread on pagri/fsh badges im inclined to lean towards the opinion it may have been used for the fsh,its just the size of the badge that is throwing me (75mm long x 40mm wide) and the extended slider which appears to be period workmanship. Thoughts on it most welcome Regards Magu |

Lancs Fusilier FSH
I have a couple of these that both had the slider broken, I see yours has been repaired in roughly the same place, could this be a deliberate act or did they just have a design fault.

Hi Rob
I also have a Wiltshire helmet plate centre with a virtually identical slider with two very small holes at 6 and 12 o'clock punched through the rim...were these for stitches to hold the badge in place on a pagri ? |
