Default Another British Legion badge, any help please?

Hello All,

Any help with IDing the purpose of this badge would be most appreciated, please. Its 52 mm x 40 mm. I am thinking its a variation of the standard bearers badge, but could be wrong. It was sold as a name badge.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

Phil, This is a presentation plate. I have seen others that have been adapted to use on other things like the standard bearers flag sling(?) and having it engraved with the club/branch/etc name.

Compare it with a modern 'sling badge' and thats what it is!

http://www.poppyshop.org.uk/members-sling-badge.html

The clue is the bolts fit into two of the adjustment holes on the sling!

Edited to add - page may not show, as it is a members page!

A gold coloured metal badge with Legion lion badge design and space for engraving, suitable for attaching to a Standard Bearer's sling. (Cost £9.99 plus postage)
