Ry,
Imagine Dave's face when that turns up for a slider and clean at Tamworth Towers!

Matti,

I could stand the £9 postage to get it to him but the crane hire to get it into his shed might break the bank! Maybe best left as restrike after all

Glad to be of service mate, we aim to please

I was worried that when it arrived that Mrs 585 would crown me with it. Not so though and I've even been allowed to put it up in "Mushroom Corner" (my domain). Happy days!

Ry

'Mushroom Corner' you either have a damp place with rising damp in or you are just keeping it dark... Sometimes they surprise you. Ali467 is rather good at spotting East Surrey badges and wonders why I don't buy them...then you get the 'what did you buy that for'...its the unpredictability thing...

I won't give the textbook answer to the Mushroom matter on a family forum but I'm sure you've heard the phrase in your time!

As to the "what did you buy that for", I've just had that very conversation after showing the good lady my latest heart's desire.
How many times do I have to explain that these things are almost impossible to find outside of a museum and getting genuine military antiques at a fraction of their true value represents a sound investment

Keep the faith!

Ry

Default Ode for Ry!!!

There once was a dandy young sapper,
With dress sense to make him look dapper,
But his shoulders were round,
And his chin scraped the ground,
Under the weight of the badge on his napper!!
