Lincolnshire Imp- HG v Cadets
Please can I request members to dig into their collections and pull out any printed Lincs Imps they may have.
I am aware they were adopted by the Lincs HG during WW2, in lieu of the standard HG titles. They remained in service with the ACF for a time post-war. If anyone can tell me more I'd be grateful. I have been told there are two varieties of this printed imp: one with a white imp, for the HG, and another with a blue imp, worn by cadets. From the few I have seen I am beginning to think there was only one- a white imp, but when washed the colours ran from the brown ink leaving a blue stain. The scanned specimen attached gives some credance to this, but the reverse could apply- a washed out blue imp! Does anyone own a truly blue version? Has anyone seen an embroidered version? Thanks, Stephen. |

Lincs Imp- HG v Cadets
Thanks.
I was aware of the existance of an ACF badge from the 1980's which was an Imp with the title LINCOLNSHIRE in green, but I've never seen them. Regards, Stephen. |
