Default Artist's Rifles?

Hi, delving through a friend's ribbon box I came accross these. In a regimental ribbon reference they are the same as the Artist's Rifles ribbon. When and where would they have been worn if they are? Thanks in advance Mike.

Hi Mike,
It's the regimental ribbon worn on both sleeves as a battalion sign by Officers, RSM & RQMS instead of the embroidered Artists worn by the OR's, certainly worn in WW1, hope this helps, if one is available please let me know,
All the best,
Wilf.
