Default Signal corps formation insignia

What I deem to be Signal Corps arm insignia, one is a diamond split in two white/blue, the other two are the same kind of spilt diamond, but the lower half is of a paler blue, and there's a "! WO" embroidered in black, whose meaning is definitively not clear to me: does WO stand for "Wireless Operator"? thank you in advance for your kind help!

1 War Office Signal Regiment - of World War 2 vintage. There's also a 2 W.O. variant. The simple blue/white flash was worn by ATS attached Royal Signals units. Many of the latter had a numeral in black in the white portion, indicating, I believe, ATS Signals Companies.

Thank you Mike! I guess the War Office Signal Regiment was stationed in London?
