Default LRDG - Real or Fake??

Hello. I have had this for many years - bought from an auction house. I know there are tons of these that are repros from the 1970's.
Has the lip on the 1 side, and looks die cast?
Any body know for sure if this is a piece of crap or a rare badge?
Thanks

Legs etc look good to me - sticking my neck out a bit, awaiting further comment, but I like the look of it from the images

Just from the photographs you show, I would think that example is original.
